An MD, Dr. Steven Armus has significant experience as both a dermatologist and entrepreneur. An accomplished biologist, Dr. Steven Armus works to improve and restore native landscapes as the owner of Native Prairie Restoration. Also active in his community, Dr. Armus spends his free time helping men and women get off the streets by volunteering at the Guest House of Milwaukee.

Founded in 1981, the Guest House of Milwaukee operates charitable programs and shelters to aid those struggling with homelessness. In addition to programs offering transitional shelters and permanent housing, the organization provides other support services such as individualized case management and counseling clinics to at-risk populations.
Moreover, at-risk groups served by the Guest House of Milwaukee have the opportunity to participate in job training programs that include urban agriculture and resident training. These groups include men, women, as well as families. In addition, specialized programming addresses the needs of homeless veterans and men struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues. Finally, individuals at risk of becoming homeless are supported through active outreach and engagement. For additional information, visit www.guesthouseofmilwaukee.org.
